About Energy Work

Brainspotting

Brainspotting is a type of therapy that uses eye movements (brainspots) and other stimulation to access and process trauma.

Brainspotting was developed by David Grand, Ph.D. in 2003. The theory behind brainspotting is that the direction of your gaze can affect your emotions and physical sensations. When you look at a specific point in your visual field, it can activate a memory or feeling that is stored in your subcortical brain. This activation of the deep emotion-processing parts of your brain can help you to heal from trauma and improve your overall well-being.

How Does Brainspotting Work?

Brainspotting works by using the natural connection between your eyes, your brain, and your body. When you look at a specific point in your visual field, it activates a specific area of your brain. This area of your brain is responsible for processing emotions and sensations. By focusing on a brainspot, you can access and process trauma that is stored in your brain.

The therapist will help you to identify a "brainspot," which is a specific point in your visual field that is associated with the trauma you are working on. Once you have found a brainspot, the therapist will use a pointer to help you to keep your eyes focused on that point. Brainspotting harnesses the body’s natural self-scanning and self-healing ability.

Benefits of Brainspotting

  • Brainspotting can help you to access and process trauma that you may have been unable to resolve on your own.

  • It can help to reduce anxiety, depression, and pain.

  • It can improve your relationships and self-awareness.

  • It can also help you to enhance your creativity.

Who Can Benefit From Brainspotting?

Brainspotting can be beneficial for a wide range of people. It is particularly effective for people who have experienced trauma. However, it can also be helpful for people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, pain, or other issues.

Donna Eden Energy Medicine

Energy Medicine is practiced by utilizing techniques from time-honored traditions such as acupuncture, yoga, kinesiology, and qi gong. Flow, balance, and harmony can be  non-invasively restored and maintained within an energy system by tapping, massaging, pinching, twisting, or connecting specific energy points (acupoints) on the skin; by tracing or swirling the hand over the skin along specific energy pathways; through exercises or postures designed for specific energetic effects; by focused use of the mind to move specific energies; and/or by surrounding an area with healing energies.

Energy Medicine recognizes energy as a vital, living, moving force that determines much about health and happiness.

To maintain vibrant health, the body needs its energies to:

  • Move and have space to continue to move — energies may become blocked due to toxins, muscular constriction, prolonged stress, or interference from other energies.

  • Move in specific patterns — generally in harmony with the physical structures and functions that the energies animate and support. "Flow follows function."

  • Cross over — at all levels, from the micro-level of the double helix of DNA, extending to the macro-level where the left side of the brain controls the right side of the body and the right side controls the left.

  • Maintain a balance with other energies—the energies may lose their natural balance due to prolonged stress or other conditions that keep specific energy systems in a survival mode.

Conversely, when the body is not healthy, corresponding disturbances in its energies can be identified and treated.

Benefits of Energy Medicine

Energy Medicine awakens energies that bring resilience, joy, and enthusiasm to your life — and greater vitality to your body, mind, and spirit! Balancing your energies balances your body's chemistry, regulates your hormones, helps you feel better, and helps you think better. It has been called the self-care and development path of the future, but it empowers you NOW to adapt to the challenges of the 21st century and to thrive within them.

Entering the world of your body's subtle energies is a bridge into the domain of your deepest spiritual callings and your eternal essence. While no particular belief system, allegiance, or religious affiliation is associated with Energy Medicine, many people find that energy work touches into the realms of soul and spirit.

Craniosacral Therapy

What is Craniosacral Therapy?

Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, hands-on therapy that evaluates and enhances the craniosacral system, which is comprised of the membranes and fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. It was pioneered and developed by John E. Upledger after extensive scientific studies from 1975 to 1983 at Michigan State University.

Craniosacral therapy has been shown to be effective in relieving a variety of conditions, including chronic neck and back pain, scoliosis, brain and spinal cord injuries, migraines, chronic fatigue, nervous system disorders, jaw joint problems, and stress disorders.

Craniosacral therapy adjustments are typically painless and do not involve any manipulation of the spine. The therapist will use light touch to assess the craniosacral system and to apply gentle pressure to help to release restrictions.

Benefits of Craniosacral Therapy

  • Craniosacral therapy can help reduce pain, relieve dysfunction, and improve whole-body health and performance.

  • It can also be used as a preventive healthcare measure to bolster resistance to disease.

  • It is a complementary treatment that releases tensions deep in the body.

  • By facilitating the body's natural and innate healing processes, craniosacral therapy can help to improve overall well-being.

In addition, craniosacral therapy can have the following specific benefits:

  • Increased blood flow

  • Increased pain tolerance levels

  • Increased range of motion

  • Increased secretion of "good" chemicals, such as melatonin and endorphins

  • Reduced blood pressure

  • Reduced tension and muscle pressure

Healy / Vibrational Therapy

What is the Healy?

The FDA calls the Healy a medical device. We call it a “bio frequency” tool. You are “bio,” i.e. physical matter, and you radiate frequencies, which either vibrate patterns of health, or patterns of dis ease. Once your frequencies are in the proximity of frequency nourishment, your cells experience “entrainment.” This means all the cells of your system follow along with the nourishing frequencies, and the nourishment continues long after the Healy programs are done running.

A Healy session is 90 Minutes, however the program runs for 9 hours, and the benefit remains for several weeks and often times a second program is never needed again. Different imbalances may occur as you are a mental, physical, emotional and spiritual being, and you radiate many frequencies, and experiences different stressors. However, a cumulative effect is measurable with Healy sessions. Like a house built from a strong foundation, each time you heal one system of your being, you, as a symbiotic being, feel the benefit. The Healy website can tell you more about how these frequencies are captured. For me, the proof is in the results. Health and happiness it turns out is a frequency.

We look forward to showing you this very wonderful addition to your total wellness regime, and to answering any questions you may have.

Benefits of Healy Vibrational Therapy

  • Relief from muscle pain and tension

  • Improve coherence between your body, mind and soul

Reiki

Reiki is a form of alternative therapy referred to as energy healing. It emerged in Japan in the late 1800s and involves the transfer of universal energy from the therapist's palms to their client. Reiki targets the energy fields around the body: energy can stagnate in the body where there has been physical injury or emotional pain. In time, these energy blocks can cause illness. Reiki helps improve the flow of energy and removes blocks in a similar way to acupressure or acupuncture.

The healing effects of reiki are mediated by channeling the universal energy, which permeates the body and is the life force energy that surrounds all of us. The therapist will hold their hands lightly on or over the body (the therapists hands may be warm and tingling). During this time, the transfer of energy takes place. If there is a particular injury, such as a burn, the hands may be held just above the wound.

Benefits of Reiki

  • Reiki improves the flow of energy around the body.

  • It enables relaxation.

  • It assists in the body’s natural healing processes.

  • It reduces pain and other symptoms of illness.

  • It can help you develop emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.

  • Clients who receive Reiki say they find it releases stress and is extremely relaxing.
